List Builder AI Review: Britt Malka’s $17 System for Building Your First Email List Funnel
I ran my own niche through List Builder AI. Honest review of Britt Malka’s $17 AI list-building system — what it builds, and the no-refund catch.
Affiliate disclosure: I earn a commission if you buy through the links on this page. It costs you nothing extra, and I only review products I’ve gone through myself.
Almost everyone who tries to build an email list quits at the same place. Not at the traffic step, which is where you’d expect. They quit somewhere between “I should pick a niche” and “I need a lead magnet,” staring at a blank page, three weeks after they decided to start.
I’ve watched it happen to a dozen people. The method isn’t the problem — the method has worked for twenty years and still works. The setup is the problem. There are eleven separate things you have to create before a single subscriber can join your list, and each one is its own blank page.
List Builder AI is Britt Malka’s attempt to remove every one of those blank pages. It’s $17 during launch (normally $54), and I’ve spent the last few days running my own niche through it. Here’s my honest review.
What List Builder AI actually is

First, an important clarification, because the name misleads people: this is not software. There’s nothing to install and no dashboard to log into. It’s an AI-powered system — a structured set of guided prompts and training, modelled on the exact process Britt Malka has used since 2003 — that you run through with ChatGPT, Claude or whichever AI you prefer.
Think of it as a senior email marketer sitting next to you saying “right, now do this bit, and here’s exactly how.” That’s a different product category than software, and if you go in expecting a funnel builder you’ll be disappointed for the wrong reasons.
What it produces, step by step:
- Determines and then refines your niche, so you’re not trying to sell to everyone
- Surfaces the problems, desires and questions your audience already has
- Finds and shapes an appropriate affiliate offer
- Generates a lead magnet idea that attracts the right buyers — then actually builds it (report, checklist, cheat sheet, guide or prompt pack)
- Writes the title and hook for that lead magnet
- Writes your opt-in page copy
- Writes your thank-you page, engineered to move people toward the affiliate offer naturally
- Prepares the follow-up email sequence, including how to introduce the offer without sounding pushy
- Researches free places you’re allowed to promote
- Creates the traffic content to promote with
You also get a step-by-step guide and a quick-start text guide, plus individual modules — Niche Finder, Affiliate Offer Finder, Lead Magnet Builder, opt-in and thank-you page builders, Email Sequence Builder, Free Traffic Researcher and Traffic Content Creator — so you can jump to one piece rather than running the whole thing.
A real use case: Marcus builds his first funnel in an afternoon

Here’s the scenario that made the value obvious to me.
Marcus is 34, works in logistics, and has been “about to start” affiliate marketing for two years. He’s bought courses. He’s watched the videos. He has a Mailchimp account with zero subscribers and a Google Doc titled “niche ideas” containing four bullet points, none of them finished.
Here’s what a Saturday afternoon with List Builder AI looks like for him:
- 2:00pm — Niche. He starts with “productivity,” which is far too broad to sell into. The Niche Finder pushes back and narrows him to shift workers who struggle to sleep on rotating schedules. That’s specific enough to write to, and it’s a real problem he actually understands from his own job.
- 2:20pm — Audience research. The system pulls out the recurring problems, desires and questions in that niche. Marcus recognises three of them immediately as things his own colleagues complain about. That recognition is what makes the rest of the copy sound human.
- 2:40pm — Offer. The Affiliate Offer Finder helps him identify and shape a relevant offer to promote, so the lead magnet and the offer point in the same direction instead of fighting each other.
- 3:00pm — Lead magnet. It proposes a checklist: a shift-rotation sleep reset. Then it writes the thing, plus the title and the hook. This is the step that used to kill him — the one where “I’ll design it properly later” turns into never.
- 3:40pm — The pages. Opt-in page copy, then thank-you page copy that bridges naturally into the affiliate offer rather than slapping a buy button on a confirmation screen.
- 4:10pm — The sequence. Follow-up emails, written in the story-led style Britt uses, introducing the offer without the hard sell.
- 4:40pm — Traffic. The Free Traffic Researcher finds forums, subreddits and communities where shift workers gather and where promotion is actually permitted. The Traffic Content Creator writes the posts.
By dinner, Marcus has every asset a list funnel needs. Not published, not earning yet — he still has to load the pages into his platform and start posting. But the blank pages are gone, and that was the only thing standing between him and starting.
Why the “modelled on Britt’s process” part matters
Generic AI will happily write you an opt-in page. What it won’t do is tell you your niche is too broad, or that your lead magnet doesn’t line up with your offer, or that your third email is where you should introduce the product rather than the first.
That sequencing is the actual product here. Britt started building lists in 2003 — before WordPress, before funnel builders, before anyone had a name for what she was doing — and her first list took her from roughly $10 a day to over $100 a day. The system encodes those judgement calls into the prompt structure so you don’t have to earn them over twenty years.
It’s also worth noting what she doesn’t claim. There’s a full section on the sales page pulling apart the “$10,000 a day with a brand-new method” genre and pointing out what those sellers already had before the screenshot: a list, an audience, a product, affiliate relationships, paid traffic, experience. That kind of honesty in a sales letter is rare enough to be a signal in itself.
What I liked
- It removes the blank page at every single step, not just the copywriting ones. The lead magnet build is the standout.
- No paid ads required. The whole traffic side is built around free methods, which suits the beginner it’s aimed at.
- No coding, no audience, no product of your own needed.
- It works on a free AI account. No API keys, no credits.
- The niche-refinement step earns the price on its own. Picking a niche that’s too broad is the single most common reason beginner funnels never convert, and this catches it before you’ve built anything.
- $17 for a system modelled on 20+ years of practice is not a difficult calculation.
What to be aware of
Three things you should know before buying.
All sales are final. Because it’s a digital training product with instant access, there’s no refund window. That’s stated plainly on the sales page and I’m repeating it here because it should change how carefully you read before clicking. This is the biggest single caveat in this review.
It doesn’t auto-post. It researches where you can promote and writes the content, but you post it manually and you follow each platform’s rules. Nothing here is hands-off.
You still need an email platform. List Builder AI creates the assets; it doesn’t host your opt-in page or send your emails. Budget for a mailing service, even a free-tier one.
And the obvious one: no product guarantees income. Britt says so herself in the FAQ. Your results depend on your niche, your offer, your traffic and whether you actually implement.
Who it’s for
Buy it if you’ve been stuck at the setup stage of list building — if you know the method works but have never got a funnel live. Also if you have a list already but keep meaning to spin up a second one in a new niche and never find the runway.
Skip it if you’re an experienced email marketer with your own repeatable process, or if you’re looking for done-for-you software rather than a guided system.
The verdict
List Builder AI is $17 for the core system, and it does one thing well: it gets you from “I should build a list” to “my funnel exists” in an afternoon instead of never. The niche refinement and the lead magnet build are the two steps that justify it, because those are the two places people quit.
Just go in clear-eyed on the no-refund policy, and clear-eyed that you’ll still be the one posting the traffic content. Do those two things and it’s one of the better $17 spends in this category.

More tools I’ve reviewed for beginner affiliates
List Builder AI builds the funnel. These two handle what comes before and after it:
- Page Sniper review — once your list exists, this is how you decide what to promote to it. It reads a launch’s funnel, tells you what the front end really pays, and finds the gap your bonus should fill. $12.95.
- SidebarBrain review — the $27 browser dashboard that keeps your niche notes, prompts, offers and launch dates in one place instead of scattered across 31 tabs. Includes nine ready-built AI assistants, one of them for email campaigns.
