Some people can&#039;t see beyong their own limited view of the world and miss the effectiveness of almost any system.

You&#039;re right that abusing these systems and trying to ramp up follows by following random other people is not good practice. Ultimately it&#039;s coming from a very limited mindset and will end up getting penalised when Twitter spend time improving their system and stopping people abusing it.

There are so may effective ways to get great results that it&#039;s a shame to see lazy people using such spammy techniques that won&#039;t last, and even worse if they&#039;re telling others who don&#039;t know better to do the same.
