Hi Jimmy,
I'm looking at setting up a new weekly "summary" email as an alternative.
I'll mail about it as soon as it's available.

Hi Matt, I have subscribed to receive your stuff & love to get it but they come too fast for me to read everything. Once a week would be enough.
Cheers Jim

Muppet? No, what a bonehead!

Next time you should ask for a free review copy, after all... you are a affiliate with a good size list.

Great post Matt. Muppet is too kind a word for this guy, he has a lot to learn.
Ultimately he is the loser not having the support and endorsement of a marketer of your calibre. I subscribe to your newsletter because you know your stuff and you are trustworthy. Having your endorsement gives a lot of credibility to a product. I have bought several WSO's of varying quality but I agree with Gene's comment that the reviews are all so nice it is sickening, obsequious to a fault. These guys are feathering each others nests. Some of the products I have purchased have been worth the $$$$ and others haven't but because of the low cost sometimes I am willing to take the punt.

Matt-I'm sure you've noticed that there are very few critical comments about WSOs, everyone seems insanely happy with their purchased, even before they have even downloaded it. All the criticism seems to be allowed for Clickbank products, though.

It only makes good business sense to check out the product prior to emailing your list. And, the fact you didn't try and scab a "review" copy, in my mind, makes you rather a "stand up guy". Next time he does a release simply email him letting him know you think it's a fantastic product, which is why you're sending the cracked link from Black Hat Forums to all your subscribers.

This post caught me just as I was getting ready to unsubscribe from any list that promotes a WSO.

You are absolutely correct about WSO's and "bright shiny object syndrome". I plead guilty myself and have put myself on a tight leash against buying any more.

But the problem is even greater... The WSO marketplace itself is corrupt. It is full of fake reviews and testimonials from crony warriors who promote each other's offers. Negative reviews are often removed by moderators. Combine this with rapidly rising prices and fake scarcity, and you have the perfect conditions to encourage people to make impulse decisions to buy lots of low cost, worthless products.

Now, add to this the affiliate system and you have an out of control pyramid scheme. Every WSO I buy promotes others. Yesterday, I counted 50+ emails from WSO affiliates. I've been spending an increasing part of my day just screening through offers with less and less time to ever go through the things I actually do buy.

I decided today this all has to stop. So consider this a warning to those of you who are WSO affiliates. The next time you send me a WSO offer, I will be unsubscribing from your list.
